Availability of Clean Drinking Water and Electricity
It is eminent that with growth and civilization comes hope and good living. At this time of the century, electricity and/or clean drinking water is a luxury in Awom.
It is true that clean drinking water came to Awom, flowing in from local cashmeres, since the seventies. Yet there are some areas in Awom today still drinking from local and sometimes infested streams. The local cashmere is not elevated enough for a downhill flow of water into the hinterlands.
It is also true that, with the availability of electricity in the area, some households cannot afford the basic cost of a pole to direct electricity into their houses. Electricity, as an energy source for basic lighting or managing other household appliances, has become an impossibility.
ADA considers that contributions and or grants given will be utilized to solicit from professionals who can bring appropriate solutions to these problems. This may include but not limit to building an elevated water tank, use of water pumps, subsidizing government efforts, and/or purchase of appropriate and professional installation of electric poles.
